Hello All You Artzmakers!!!
November. So many reasons to feel grateful. With more and more opportunities to share my passion for art...meeting and talking to other artists...showing my work...teaching classes in my studio and in other places in the area....and creating my own art...I burst with joy at becoming a part of this wonderfully creative community.
Twisted Fish Art Gallery, Elk Rapids, Mi
My second Elk Rapids Art Beat on Oct 4th was great fun. I spent 6 hours painting new Dottie Friends. Visitors also saw a collection of completed Dottie Friends and heard about the 2026 Dottie Friend Calendar. Go here to see the new Dottie Friends and the calendar on my website.
Thank you to Lynn and her dad for the wonderful day. Lots of artists were working throughout the gallery and its gardens. And the wine, coffee and treats and door prizes added to the festive atmosphere.
Traverse City Library - East Branch Location
Both October classes, The Mandala and Zendoodle, were filled - and the Mandala class was featured on the front page of the Traverse City Record Eagle newspaper. Wow! I hope to repeat these classes in January 2026! Stay tuned.

November Workshops/Events
Oliver Art Center, 132 Coast Guard Rd., Frankfort, MI
Beginning Monday, November 10th, I will be traveling to Frankfort to begin teaching printmaking. There are four classes scheduled. If you would like to print your own holiday card(s) or just learn how to cut and print with linoleum, theses are the classes for you.
Dates: Monday, November 10th, 17th, 24th and December 1st
Times: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Contact the Oliver Art Center at (231) 352-4151 if you have questions or want to sign up for the classes.
My mixed media piece called ‘Wisdom’ will be used on the Oliver Center’s thank you note cards. I was thrilled and so honored when the Director, Tamera Hoffbauer, called and asked if they could use the image on their cards.

Come on by! There will be a variety of cards, including my 2026 Christmas card, “Santa’s Other Helpers.” I will also have the 2026 Dottie Friends Calendar available. Originals and prints of my art work will be on display for your perusal and purchase as well. Discounted items will also be available!
