Welcome to Artzmaker Studio
The Artzmaker Studio is tucked into the little town of Williamsburg, Michigan — just a short drive from Traverse City — and it is the place where Barbara H. Greenwood makes her own art and shares her love of creating with others. After years of teaching art and over thirty years working as a Board Certified Art Therapist, Barbara has seen firsthand how creativity and working together can feed our souls.
If you've ever told yourself "I can't draw a straight line," or put your creative urges on the back burner for a little too long, this is the place for you. The goal from the moment you walk through the door is simple — to create a warm, supportive, safe space where you can open yourself up to the world of making things.
The Studio Rules
There are only three of them, and they're easy:
There is no right or wrong. Art skills are not required. All it takes is an openness to explore, a willingness to learn, and a desire to create.
That's it. Everything else takes care of itself.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. The studio is wheelchair accessible. Individual sessions, group classes, and private parties can all be scheduled — just reach out to Barbara directly for anything that needs a personal touch.
Art Therapy Sessions are different from a class or workshop. Here, making art is still at the center of every session — but the direction of our time together is guided by something personal to you.
Sometimes the best way to learn is one on one. Individual art lessons with Barbara are a chance to explore exactly what you want to create, at your own pace, with her full attention and support.
Maybe you want to reawaken a creative drive that got set aside somewhere along the way. Maybe you've had an idea for something you've been wanting to make but never had the space, the time, or the encouragement to try. Maybe you want to learn a new skill, or explore a medium you've always been curious about. Whatever brings you to the studio, Barbara will meet you right where you are.
The possibilities are genuinely endless. Available media and techniques include printmaking, Gelli printmaking, watercolor, acrylic painting, mixed media and collage, drawing, pen and ink, sculpture using self-drying clay and Sculpey, pastels, mask making, puppetry, and children's book illustration — and that's just the beginning.
Individual lessons also make a wonderful gift for the creative person in your life.

Classes are held weekdays between 10AM and 1PM EST at Artzmaker Studio in Williamsburg, Michigan. Reserve your spot and Barbara will contact you to confirm your date, start time, and what you'd like to create.

Zendoodling is the art of creating beautiful images through simple lines and repetitive patterns.
Gather your people and come paint something wonderful together. The Paint Your Masterpiece Party is a guided painting experience for groups — birthdays, bachelorettes, team outings, family gatherings, or just a great excuse to get creative with your favorite people.
Have you always wanted to try making art but talked yourself out of it? Told yourself you'd embarrass yourself, that you can't draw a straight line, that doodling doesn't count? This class is for you.
